  3. 3Download

    How it works

    1. Add your PDF. Every page appears as a small picture.
    2. Click the pages to keep, or type them like 1, 4-6. Pages you pick are marked.
    3. Press Extract pages and download the new PDF.

When extracting is the right tool

Sending only the page an office asks for is neater, and keeps the rest of a document private. It also makes the file smaller, which helps with upload limits.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens inside your browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to a server, and you can confirm that in your browser's network tab. Close the tab and they're gone.

What is the difference between Extract and Split?

Extract keeps the pages you pick together in one new PDF. Split PDF can also cut a file into several PDFs at once, by range or one per page.

Can I pick pages that are not next to each other?

Yes. Click them one by one, or type them with commas, for example 1, 4-6, 9. The new PDF has them in page order.

    Does the original change?

No. Your original file is untouched. You download a new PDF with only the pages you chose, and the others are not in it.

    Can I use a password-protected PDF?

Not directly. Use Unlock PDF on this site to remove the password (you need to know it), then add the unlocked copy here.

Is there a file size limit?

Each file can be up to 100 MB, and up to 300 MB in total. Because the work happens on your device, very large files depend on your available memory. A desktop browser handles them best.
